Why I want to actMy feet are tired of treading
troubled earth;
nothing grows,
too much suppression.
The only ounce of truth left
is too far buried
to be seen.

It isn't until
the tireless sun finds it's way
to the other side of the earth,
and the misted moon tumbles
halfway across the sky
that the unrelenting day gives way
to silence;
our barriers give way
to ourselves.

I have dreams;
dreams that make mountains look like
anthills,
and anthills look like
grains of sand.

I want to tell the truth.
I want to say exactly how I feel,
I want to feel

A different kind of sunriseA different kind of sunrise
soon shall shatter our horizon,
and I shall sweep my hands
across the sky
until the air paints words
upon my arms.

The dustiest corners of my mind will
soon forget suppression,
and all shall see
the acrylics in my eyes
and the stillframes in my fingers;
and I'll be followed by
those wishing to seek out
their own symphony
from between the seven layers of sunlight
in their skin.

A different kind of sunrise
soon shall ignite the
dew-drenched earth,

and from my battered rooftop I shall
watch it come.

DawnTreeline breathes stars
like dust; yesterday falls
from tangled branches

dawn penetrates
a yawning horizon

I have known no greater joyAfter so long,
it feels nearly impossible
to find music
beyond the monotonous drone of
ever ringing telephones;
to find peace
beyond the unrelenting discomfort
of business casual shoes;

And yet, somewhere amidst
tense muscles and troubled thoughts,

I find a smile.

In deep, sun-starved corners that are
hidden even from myself, I feel
dust stir;

I have known no greater joy
than laughter.

The inevitable truthThe hardest part of being a writer
   is accepting that some things
         cannot be expressed
                   in words.

Blind EyesAnother morning soon shall come
Blind eyes see beauty pure
cracks shall fill with seamless sun
Desultory words creep under door
To golden shores, lost feet shall run.

So I woke up at 6am this morning full of energy, 2 hours before I had to get up. Apparenty ladybugs are early morning ladies, because I couldn't find one of them when I went out in the afternoon, but this morning as the sun was coming up I was swimming in them. I had to watch every step to make sure I didn't squish one.

So next few pics will be ladybugs. They are all pretty different though, so hopefully you won't get sick of them!

not sure if the two focal points in this photo work well together... particularly with the positioning of the ladybug.

First of all, this is a great shot to look at. It is so peaceful and delicate.
You captured the contrast of textures between the fuzzy dandelion and the hard shiny back of the lady bug very well.
The overall colors are warm despite the dark green/blue in the background, which brings the ladybug forward because of the contrast. The lighting is excellent and you really get a sense of time, which enhances that delicate feel. The composition is well done too. The sort of uniform curves of the dandelion allow the off centre lady bug to stand out, and the outward pointing diagonals draw your eyes around the image.
I think that the ladybug could have been in sharper focus, to bring it out even more, but other then that the image has a great depth of field, again adding to that delicate feel.
In all, a fantastic shot with interesting textures, lines and colours that all create an inviting peacefulness and serenity.

Oh my goodness, I can almost feel the dandelion fluff! This is beautiful. I love ladybugs too, and this is my favorite of all your great ladybug shots
