Never Rest AgainThis world's strange workingsare far beyond my comprehension. All I know is that youwoke something in methat will never rest again.I am a grain of sand among vast oceans, but I hold the universein my hands.
The Hummingbird AwakesThe hummingbird awakes and brightly singsThe rising sun caught in her feathered breastMy fingers pluck a song from golden stringsaccompany as she performs her bestThe trees extend their limbs with windblown graceA burst of color strewn across the skyMy bare feet feel their age-old bark's embraceTheir stories heard within a leaf-lined sighThe grass now rests beneath my shoeless feetThe sky beneath each clouded fingernailAnd when the never-ending day's completeI'll tell the world each sunlight-soaked detailHow long I've waited, frozen in the snow;my lovely hummingbird, I've missed you so.

You've got a great eye for this kind of thing, and the focus is perfect - just where I would have wanted it.
The background is unbelievably eye-catching, and it's part of what makes the shot for me.
It isn't the most original idea, but you've still put it to great use.
The stick leads the eye in perfectly and I love that.
All in all, though, this is a beautiful, eye-catching capture that really manages to stand out from the crowd.
Worth a DD.
Congratulations on taking such a beautiful shot, and thank you for submitting this!
