Have You Ever Wanted SomethingHave you ever wanted something
so much
it consumed you,
filled every fiber of your being
with fluttering dreams
and fleeting glimpses
of a not-yet-materialized
you. That love-laced feeling;
woven dreams of golden thread
within a black and white frame.

Have you ever wanted
to take a hammer to that frame
until black and white confinement
becomes fine gray dust,
and that golden thread
weaves itself
through your eyes and breath and skin
until you shine within
the darkest of rooms.

Have you ever loved something
so much,
that no someone
or somehow or someday
could fill you up
in quite the same way.
No him or her or it
coul

White WinterWinter, oh winter
Her dainty heart splinters;
with chilling white eyes,
with autumn's demise.

She blends with
the snow,
bleak blizzard of bone;
white wind and white stone
no springtime shall stain.

She can't see a thing
through the pine
through the pain.
Taut tightrope runs
where white water rains

Spectrum resigns,
and she sees
only white.

RopeThe rope about my waist hangs taut and shan't release.
I'd wander, but alas I've trite responsibilities.

The rope about my waist demands I shan't stay long
I feel it's pull as soon as I have found where I belong.

Lined CanvasBlank white paper beckons so,
idle pen poised to create;
lined canvas soon to bare my soul.

It's been a long and dreadful day;
with love, with pain, all held within
my idle pen, poised to create.

Yet I take hardships with a grin,
they are my muse, and thus adored
with love, with pain, all held within.

Relentless highs and lows explored
see every surface draped in scars:
they are my muse, and thus adored.

Each brisk fall wind, each summer star
has seen, has felt, has known each feat,
seen every surface draped in scars.

Now here I lay, burnt bruised and beat,
renewed by home's embracing heat.
Blank white paper beckons so,
line

RememberRecall reflections, rippled waters
now bone-bare dirt and sundried sand.
Remember yellows, blues and reds
whose silken surface softly skimmed
cool water, beneathe trembling hands.

Rethink the way your waters run;
flow with yourself, your soul, your skin.
Renew that day you fell in love
with something better than you'd known,
tango with rain, waltz with the wind.

Remember now, as you did then;
you never
ever
needed him.

RebirthHow thoughtlessly we speak these words
of life and love and hummingbirds;
who's wings beat rhythmic with the earth
through soil and sky,
through you and I,
relent, release, renew, rebirth.

How close we came to 'knowing why,'
or so we thought, but found we'd lied,
and in defeat, surrendered sighs;
no hopeful word,
had we not heard,
what's once decayed shall burst and thrive.

Photography / Conceptual

Old film camera that my grandpa gave to me. Not a clue how to use it, but it looks neat and certainly has a history, and I am happy to own it.
Ironically enough I've been feeling particularly un-inspired as of late.

I am going to try to get up early to go shoot ladybugs tomorrow morning but... it's already after midnight, so I may not be so ecstatic about it when my alarm goes off.

Anywho, all constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!
