I know they're cliche, but I'm having a lot of fun with these droplet shots! And being a fountain pen junkie allows me to easily create drops and alter them into many different colors and multi-colors. I finally have a use for my plethora of colorful ink! There will probably be many more of these in the future, and I'll try to make them as original as possible.
all constructive criticism is very greatly appreciated!
This has to be one of the best (and simplest) mostmoving pictures i have seen!
Whats more intriguing than the colour is the texture of the droplets. The simplicity is so moving. It's like the one person who stands out from the others because of one thing, otherwise all the same.
Kind of reminds me of Naruto (anime/manga series). He is all alone and no one is his friend because he has a nine-tailed beast trapped in him. He does get friends eventually though.
The depth of the blue droplet seems almost endless, like a never ending path. I love the hue of the droplet as well. OVERALL: really beautiful and simple all at the same time!
This image is the epitome of the "less is more" concept. What I think sells this image, aside from the beautiful simplicity, is the texture.
The entire image is a textural feast for the eyes. Everywhere I look in the image there is texture. The blurred images of the droplets in the fore and backgrounds, the almost implied grain of the support surface, and the amplified intensity inside the focal droplets. All those textures combine to make a very interesting image.
In fact, I do not think a more complex image would have worked as it could have become overcrowded and to complex to "read" visually.
The inclusion of the blue in the image really draws the focus to that one particular area, and I think that, even without the title, the concept would have been very well communicated.
This is so effective, considering what the picture is of. Very well thought out, and the focus is nice as well. Kinda reminds me of something that came out of Mac OS X a little bit. :-P

Well done, all around.
