After lots of waiting in the heat with the sun directly in my eyes while sitting on a rock that was burning my butt, this damn bird finally broke free of our staring contest and moved. This is my first wildlife photo that I consider to be relatively 'successful.' I know I have lots of room for improvement, but I still consider this to be a huge milestone. Yay!

I love constructive criticism. People who give me constructive criticism get hugs. And cookies. Sometimes both.

Beautiful Carly, I would have just uplifted a bit more the shadows/highlights in PS to add more texture and colors to the wings and to the over-clipped areas

Yeah the light was really working against me with this one... but I have learned quite a bit about photoshop since I took this picture so I may take your suggestion and try to even it out a bit. Thanks again!
