noneMy pen runs empty;
marrow sucked dry
from my bones.

I've
no words
left.

WaningThe misted moon hangs low tonight,
dimly illuminating
tangled treetops below.
I lay within it's craters,
dreaming,
drawing patterns in the dust,
my eyes chasing debris
across an empty sky.

The misted moon hangs low tonight,
and I remember when I
was a waxing crescent
with dreams of stages and spotlights,
of spending my nights at the feet of
New York's towering embrace,
whose light consumed my surface
with thoughts of a future
I'd stop at nothing to get.

Yet when those cement structures
held me tight, I looked to the sky
and found better asteroids
to chase,
and as their blazing tails
burnt my fingertips,
I realized

Let's be piratesHOW do I get out of here?
Someone, please tell me
how to break from these
    lead laden legs,
  this cinder-block brain
and this brick built body;
their unbearable weight
has held me on this
   damn couch/job/life,
           for too long.

    It's been 16 years,
     8 months,
      7 days
        17 hours
      and 8 minutes,
and I can't take

     one.

Burning SkyI long to feel the burning sky
ignite my dim and faded eyes.
I long for crimson cloud's caress
to light a spark upon my breath,
and wrap it's fire about my heels;
I long to feel.

'til ash becomes of embers bright
I long to lie within the light
and dance amidst it's dying heat,
this sky, this sun, my one retreat.
'til morning, I'll pretend it's real;
I long to feel.

R.I.P.Here lies:
Lost Dignity;
Buried at the expense of
those brave few who found something
better.

CinquainYou are
nothing more than
eyes in a cold mirror;
a hollow reflection of who
you were.

well, it's a matter of situation. When I lived in canada, I wished it would be warm sometimes, and here, I wish the sun would turn off.

An awesome capture of a daisy.

I really like how you've framed it just as it's below the horizon, if that makes sense. It's brilliant, in that sense, because it feels balanced as well as the fact that the sky now supports the daisy further, in terms of impact and such.

Lovely depth of field and angle.
