An orange sulfur butterfly, doing his proboscis thang.
I discovered today that my zoom lens has awesome focusing capabilities and is perfect for bug photography. So as long as I keep managing to get myself out of the house, expect butterflies in the future!
all constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!
Wow, I can't think of too many things to complain about! At first glance I like it a lot.
The colors are very nice...very simple and well-balanced. You've done a very good job of keeping the subject in sharp focus wile softly blurring the background. The lighting is a bit tough but you made the trailing edge of the flutterby's wings glow. Nice touch.
It doesn't hurt that my HS and college colors are green and gold!
The only thing that bothers me is the stray leaf at the bottom. I would even go so far as to take the entire bottom third off of the photo. Then take a bit off the top for balance. Quiet space is always nice but I'd take it out just to get rid of that leaf!
