Nice detail, the focus is nice and sharp. The yellow background (another sort of flower?) gives a great contrast in colour. One of the flowers in the foreground thats out of focus grabs my attention a bit though (the bigger one towards the top right), but all in all another quality photo! :)

I'm doing fantastic! It's been insanity for the past few weeks, but things are finally starting to slow down a bit. I can't start working until I get a hold of some paperwork that I lost, so I'm hoping I can use my free time do a bit of photography in the next few days. Aside from a few quick waterfall shots I haven't done any photography in weeks, and it's starting to drive me a little bit crazy. :o

I read your reply about getting the D5100, I am so happy for you! There's nothing quite like getting a new camera, especially when it's an upgrade from a point and shoot to an SLR. Have you had lots of opportunities to use it and get to know all the settings?

Thats great! Though your life always seems frenetic, I hope you can slow down a bit! Really hoping you DO get a chance to go and take some photos... I will look forward to them.

As for my camera, well I love it! Probably more than it loves me though... I have struggled a bit with it at times. I have been using it a bit in varying conditions and starting to get the hang of it a bit... I think. :blushes: I've got maybe 20 photos uploaded now since I have had it? And I went out both at sunrise and night on Saturday so I've got a few more I'll upload in the coming week or two.

But I got out my old camera on the weekend to snap something quickly, and all of a sudden it felt REALLY cheap and nasty! :omg:

Well I am thrilled you are enjoying your new camera! SLRs really do make a HUGE difference once you get the hang of them. And I know what you mean, when I went to Scotland of all places I could only bring my old point and shoot, and it was just awful! It would take a very very skilled photographer to produce really great looking results with that kind of camera...
