OursI heard a voice echoing through Manhattan
on a December night when the air was static
and the sky was made of ash.

We were two specks of dust
who drifted into one another
at the feet of trembling buildings,
unable to shake day-old snow from their
concrete skin.

I had wandered the earth in search of
the barefooted pioneer I once was,
the fearless pirate I longed to be.
I heard a voice echoing through
urban alleyways on a December night
when I found something
far beyond what I was looking for.

Every relentless snowflake that
clung to my eyelashes
melted beneath your
weightless breath;

and I was weightless, too.

You took my h
It's all in the eyesIn his eyes, I see
all the childish desires
he has no intention
of suppressing.

Flecks of green,
fingertips of an endless forest.
Leaves that long to cut their tether
and aimlessly find their way
to the other side of the earth.

He stares
as if he doesn't see
what's in front of him, as if
he's hit rewind, and is replaying
all of the marvelous things
those emerald irises
have absorbed.

His eyelashes
are not stroked by the stale air
of suburbia,
but by the newborn breath of
an electric ocean;
streaks of lightning,
endlessly extending
into an earth that trembles
beneath his feet.

He is a pioneer of the unnecessary,

I didn't have a very successful photography day today. I'm going to blame it on the random mosquito swarm that came out of nowhere and attacked me.

This isn't too bad!

The quality is a bit low, perhaps, but I like the way the colours are quite saturated to make a greater impact overall. I feel that it wouldn't hurt to adjust the white balance if you can... and to make the background slightly lower in terms of the saturation, but that is just me.

I like the positioning, anyway, though I feel you could crop this into a square, perhaps.

But yeah, great stuff! I like how there are clovers in the background to further support the main subject matter there. :nod:

I tried lowering the saturation in the background and I was on the fence about it, but I just couldn't decide which was better so I left it as it was. I might try tweaking it again now that you mention it.
